Can You Say "Mihai Eminescu"?

The 2nd edition of the Eminescu Poetry and Art Festival is happening at the Tap Gallery on the 16th of January 2010. Mihai Eminescu ( /mi'haj e.mi'nes.ku/) was a late Romantic poet, novelist and journalist, and regarded as Romania's most famous and influential poet. The festival will celebrate the life and work of Eminescu, over a day filled with poetry, music and art exhibition.

The Eminescu Festival draws parallels between the cultural heritage of both Romania and Australia and will highlight both country's shared passion for poetry. Romanian poets, artists and musicians living in Sydney will perform alongside leading contemporary Australian poets.
